Bruce Bent II is an entrepreneur and adept in the field of short term asset management and retirement services. He is credited with innovating and pioneering some of the most influential products and programs in the money management sector.
Formerly CEO of The Reserve, a mutual fun and cash management business, Bent is a proven and responsible leader who guided the business throughout the financial crisis of 2008. Over his seventeen years of leadership as CEO, The Reserve was one of the largest privately held money-market institutions in the world. Bents guidance expanded and diversified the company greatly and their assets in all cash products grew from $4 billion to over $130 billion. Following the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy in late 2008, Bent oversaw the winding down and liquidation of the Reserve’s product lines.
Bruce Bent II is currently the Vice Chairman and President of the Double Rock Corporation, leading the industry in financial technology. Bent is the senior executive of Double Rock’s many subsidiary corporations and affiliates. These companies have become widely recognized in their industries under Bent’s guidance.
Bent earned a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Northeastern University, and he is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, as well as being a member of the Entrepreneurs Organization in Manhattan and serving on the President’s Advisory Council of Scenic Hudson, which is an environmental group concerned protecting and restoring the Hudson River.
