On September 28th, the networking solutions technology company Coriant called upon Shaygan Kheradpir to serve as the firm’s new Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, according to a report in Fierce Telecom. Mr. Kheradpir’s elevation to a prominent position within Coriant received praise from the firm’s outgoing President and CEO, Pat DiPietro, who will still remain active in the company as the Vice Chairman of Coriant. Senior managers at Coriant enjoyed an opportunity to work closely with Mr. Kheradpir during the first part of 2015, when he served as an Operating Partner at the firm of Marlin Equity Partners.

A Prominent Technology Company

Coriant today maintains customers around the globe. The large telecom and networking firm conducts business operations in well over 100 nations. Numerous government departments, private companies, cloud providers and telecommunications firms depend on Coriant’s networks for communications and computing activities. The company also performs extensive research and development. For instance, today it maintains over 1800 patents, many of them relating to pioneering innovations in the field of optical networks.

Although Coriant maintains its international headquarters in Los Angeles, the company also operates internationally.
