Edison Research conducted an investigation into the credibility of podcast advertising. Edison was commissioned by PodcastOne to determine the success of this method of advertising. The findings of the research were made public by both PodcastOne chairperson and the Edison leadership. The findings from the research made on five different products, in different sectors of the economy, was the culmination of the research which started in the last quarter of the year 2016.
These were the results or findings made by the Edison team of researchers
- 1/3 of the respondents went biased towards the ‘auto aftermarket commodity’. This meant there was an 18% increment from what was recorded in the pre-study.
- A 60% increment in the awareness of the aftermarket product campaign was noted. Again the new advertising strategy gave rise to a 76% increment in casual dining.
- The product familiarity among customers rose by 47% from what was seen in pre examination. Automobiles familiarity rose by 37% while other products like gardening equipment went up by 24% in sales.
- There was a 7% increment in the audience compared with the pre-study results. More than 60% of listeners were interested in a particular brand.
The studies, three of them, were necessary in determining how PodcastOne’s five products were fairing in the market. Indeed, as was expected, some of the products were doing well even as others struggled.
