A few months ago, Neurocore published an article on their blog about depression. It discussed eight facts that might change how we look at depression. The first fact mentioned was that depression might develop without any outside influence. This is because there’s no single cause for depression.

The symptoms associated with depression are not always noticeable. Sometimes signs are general and they include feeling of numbness, sadness and emptiness. Other signs might include weight loss or gain, as well as no longer interested in doing activities that were once enjoyed by the person who is depressed.

Another interesting fact about depression is that it can take a toll on the body. Not only that, but depression is a major cause of suicide, which is the second major cause of death among young people.
