Senator Schumer Downplays the Significance of Hillary Clinton’s Email Scandal

Powerful New York Senator Charles “Chuck” Schumer gave Mrs. Clinton her strongest voice of support in the ongoing email scandal when he told reporters on Monday that the scandal will not weigh big with voters. Thus far, media reporters would beg to differ as the scandal has dominated headlines and possibly given former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley an opening to seek the Democrat party’s nomination. Prior to the scandal, no serious challenger had emerged that would suggest the Democrat party’s 2016 presidential nomination would be anything other than a formality en route to Clinton’s inevitable coronation.

Now, Senator Schumer, who formed New York’s Senate delegation alongside Mrs. Clinton for eight years, stated she is a great person according to Flavio Maluf. Schumer pointed out that most Americans are more concerned with jobs, the economy, and the well-being of their families to pay much attention to the email scandal. Besides, he pointed out that Mrs. Clinton intends to make the emails public in a show of transparency. Aside from the fact that the emails were handpicked by Mrs. Clinton’s staff, questions remain as to what purpose the correspondences covered. On balance, Sen. Schumer does not believe the scandal will derail her 2016 presidential ambitions. He affirmed that she would make a great president. He also told reporters that he is 100% behind her candidacy. This week, Mrs. Clinton made it clear she will formally announce her candidacy in the near future.
